Students will develop an appreciation for Brazilian Portuguese and culture. Students will acquire basic conversational fluency with key vocabulary and phrases in Portuguese at a beginner level. Students will gain a basic understanding of Brazilian culture in comparison to American culture.
Portuguese is my second language of 20+ years. I have a love for the language, culture, and people of Brazil, and I love to share that knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion with my learners. Furthermore, because of my professional background in studying phonology and linguistics in teaching English as a second language, I have a unique perspective and understanding on how to teach and learn language. Plus, I find language and culture learning fun!
