Intermediate レベル向け
Please note: This class picks up where Early Intermediate Piano Level U leaves off. Prospective students should be familiar with major and minor triads/scales, chord inversions and one-octave arpeggios. Sight reading music is essential to this class so prospective students should be comfortable with reading music in the Level 5 Piano Adventures series (material from Level U). In this class, students will explore the circle of 4ths and 5ths in all major keys, a chordal ballad, two-octave arpeggios, a new piece by Gurlitt, a blues featuring rolled chords, flat key signatures, two-octave flat scales and a piece by JC Bach featuring a grand cadence. Please note: We will be using Piano Adventures Lesson Book Level 5 (2nd Edition) for this class. It is a required text for the class. Please see the class syllabus for weekly breakdown.

Welcome to my page! I love working with students who are eager to learn more about guitar, piano, songwriting and ukulele. I strive to keep lessons fun and engaging while helping students discover their musical voices! I believe in creating a safe environment for students to take risks in music. It brings me a lot of joy to watch students become more confident players and songwriters.
I have a BA in music from Columbia College Chicago and a MMEd (master’s degree in music education) from VanderCook College of Music. I am currently based in Brooklyn, NY. I have toured the US with various bands and ensembles over the years including an indie-rock quintet, a 10-piece chamber rock ensemble, Girl Group Chicago, a big band orchestra and as a solo musician. I have accompanied for the Music in the Parks competition and have participated as a theatre pit musician in various Chicago productions for Porchlight Music Theatre, Stage Door Fine Arts and The Neo-Futurists. I compose and perform my own music and am currently recording my second solo album! I often tour with my band, Renée Catrine, and as a guitarist for Eliza and the Organix. レビュー
