中級ピアノクラブ - 一緒に弾こう

Taking basic knowledge of reading a music staff, we will show how the notes on the paper correlate to the keyboard.  
  We have been meeting since the week of June 7th.  We have learned finger exercises and scales and have also reviewed the notes on the Grand Staff as they relate to the keyboard.
  We are currently working on 3 pieces of Christmas Music... "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas", "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", and "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch".
  During the month of December, we will also be learning how to build and play a chord.

In January, we will learn some new songs based on what the students would like to learn while increasing the difficulty of the pieces we play with sharps, flats, varied rhythms, etc.  I want the students to feel comfortable playing both treble and bass clefs before we start working on chord structures.

At the beginning of each class, we will do some warm up or review as a group and then we will spotlight each student for a few minutes.  If a student needs more one on one instruction, we can set up a separate session for that private time.

Our club members have become friends and also enjoy a little show and tell time at the end of class whether music related or just for fun.

Students should know how to read music, know the keys of the keyboard, and have their own piano or keyboard for practice.  If using an electronic keyboard, please be sure the keys are full sized and preferably weighted (to give the same feel and response as an actual piano).
