The tutoring sessions are designed for families who want their child to flourish along with their peers in the classroom or home school environment.  Your child will be provided with personalized instruction designed to meet desired academic needs as well as the expectations of the family.  Support will be provided to strengthen your child's performance in reading fluency and/or comprehension.

It is my pleasure to communicate with each family prior to the first scheduled session to hear your learning concerns. I will then informally assess your child. Together we will create a plan of action to help your family achieve the desired reading fluency and/or comprehension goals. During each session, your child will learn reading fluency skills and/or comprehension strategies that will build a confident reader.

I have an interactive teaching style and enjoy observing the learning style of my students and providing instruction that will best keep them engaged and motivated to reach their full potential. My students are guided through a given task and provided opportunities to practice until they are successful. Learning activities can range from, but are not limited to games, worksheets, shared reading, or independent study. 

Please allow your child to attend class using a laptop in order to participate in the interactive learning activities. A quiet learning environment will encourage your child to maintain focus during the sessions. Headphones or earbuds may also be helpful to eliminate distractions.
