A comprehensive reading assessment consists of a variety of informal assessments to provide a snapshot of your child's reading abilities. This assessment package will include the following diagnostics:

-Brief parent questionnaire
-Letter names/sounds
-Structured phonics pattern mastery assessment
-Reading fluency diagnostic
-Running record
-Reading comprehension diagnostic
-Student questionnaire

Once your child has completed all of the assessments all results will be interpreted and a comprehensive report will be compiled within 24 hours of completing all the informal diagnostics. Within this report, you can expect to recieve detailed analysis of your child's reading abilities that include areas of strength and weakness as well as areas for growth. Recommendations for further supports and intervention as well as enrichment will also be provided.

A full reading evaluation will consist of two 30 minute individual sessions. I have found through the years that 30 minute increments for informal assessments or similar items yield the most accurate results for students and they are less likely to become fatigued or disengage within that time frame. All individual reading assessments will likely be completed across two 30 minutes individual sessions.
