👋 Let me introduce myself! My name is Indya, I am the teacher for this course. I studied hard to earn a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida and am a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Learning how to treat executive functioning disorders is a part of my training! Allow me to use my expertise in this field to support your child on their journey. Together, we'll help them overcome obstacles, build resilience, and equip them with the skills they need to succeed and thrive in life.

Executive functioning skills are a set of cognitive processes that enable individuals to manage their thoughts, emotions, and actions effectively in order to achieve goals and complete tasks. These skills are critical for success in various aspects of life, including academics, work, and daily routines.

Here are some reasons to choose this self-paced course:

https://whatdoesmammasay.com/emotional-intelligence-activities-for-kids/#google_vignette

Emotional Intelligence is defined by self-awareness (recognizing your own emotions and how they affect you), self-management (being able to manage your own emotions in a healthy way), social awareness (understanding other people’s emotions, having empathy) and relationship management (being able to develop and maintain relationships).

Another great sensory activity that helps children regulate their emotions, not to mention the fun, is feelings balloon pop.

Simply write or draw the feeling in the balloon and then pop it. If you don’t want to use a sharp object to pop the balloon, have the child step or sit on it until it pops.
