Students will use varied sentence structure in their writing.
Students will gain an understanding of the importance of reviewing written work for conciseness, clarity, and grammar. 

I have over nine years of experience teaching composition and writing to students of all ages.

Students will submit sentences, paragraphs, and final drafts of their typed essay within one week after class ends. All submissions sent in by the due date will receive feedback. Parents should also ensure that homework is sent or posted from the learner's profile. It is important for me to keep up with learner's assignments.

Parents Please Note: I will keep homework to a minimum, but students that take this course need opportunities outside of class to apply what they have learned to their writing. I also feel it is important for their work to be reviewed and given feedback, so that they begin taking accountability for their own learning.

Once students are enrolled, I will upload the workbook for the class. The workbook will include all of the written homework assignments, essay writing prompts, and model paragraphs and essays written by the teacher.
