このクラスで学べること
In this camp, we will cover a variety of basic, age appropriate social skills, such as following directions, waiting our turn, being aware of and sensitive to others, getting along with and playing well with others. We will also learn about emotions: the role they play in our life, how we can recognize them in ourselves and in others, how we can calm ourselves down when we are feeling big emotions, and how we can help others who are feeling big emotions. Details of what we will discuss in...
1. Learners will gain tools for following directions and developing patience. 2. Learners will understand that all feelings are okay; there is no such thing as bad feelings. 3. Learners will be able to recognize and name their feelings. 4. Learners will learn how to manage their feelings. 5. Learners will gain tools for resolving conflict with others. 6. Learners will gain tools for asking others to join in play. 7. Learners will gain an awareness of feelings in others. 8. Learners will learn tools to keep themselves (and others) safe from bullying.
I have had extensive training in the area of Social Emotional Learning, as well as Trauma Informed Care and Bullying. Most of my training has come through CASEL, Early Childhood Investigations Webinars, Second Step, Conscious Discipline, EdWeb, and Deeper Learning.
