1年生の準備はできました！1年生の準備

Welcome to 1st Grade Readiness!  In this class learners will meet 3x per week to ensure they are ready for 1st grade.  This class includes pre writing skills, pre math concepts, early science, early geography and phonics.  All taught material is concepts taught in kindergarten.  This is a kind of crash course review for kindergarten.  We will meet for 4 weeks so 12 total meetings.  Each meeting will cover a different concept and will all come with homework.  These aren't things that need to be done before the next class but rather sheets they can work on throughout the summer to continue going over their concepts.  

Wild and Unstructured Learning is a hands on company.  This class will have a lot of different hands on activities to reinforce their learning experience.  Here is a full breakdown of what we will go over throughout class together.

Week 1-
Phonics- Decoding words.  We will blend sounds to form small 2 and 3 letter words
Science- Observing/Comparing/Classifying
Writing- Letters
Math- Identifying
Geography- Maps

Week 2-
Phonics- Decoding words.  We will blend sounds to form small 2 and 3 letter words
Science-Measuring/Communicating/Inferring
Writing- CVC words
Math- Counting
Geography- Landforms

Week 3-
Phonics- Decoding words.  We will blend sounds to form small 4 letter words
Science-Predicting/Experiment
Writing- CVCe words
Math- Adding and subtracting
Geography- Bodies of water

Week 4-
We will spend this week paying close attention to the areas we notice that could improve.  This week will be tailored based on the  previous 3 weeks. 

Each week learners will do different science experiments and make hands on geography art as well as really work hard on their phonics and math.  This class is perfect for any student who is going to start 1st grade concepts soon.
