In this ongoing class, students will study a different body system/body part each week. Some examples of topics that will be covered are: The Brain, the Eye, the Skeletal System, the Circulatory System, and many more! Each class will begin with a vibrant presentation. Students will be encouraged to participate in discussions and ask/answer questions. They will then participate in a hands-on activity to help them remember the content. We will make 2D and 3D models of the human body and engage in science experiments to explore how the body works. We will use simple materials that you can find at home.

Here is the breakdown of the weeks:

Week of January 5: The Digestive System
Week of January 12: The Respiratory System
Week of January 19: The Circulatory System
Week of January 26: Gross and Funny Bodily Functions!
Week of February 2: The Lungs
Week of February 9: Skin and Nails
Week of February 16: Blood
Week of February 23: Muscles
Week of March 2: Teeth

No prior knowledge about the human body is required in order to participate this class. This is a beginner level class.

This is an ongoing class. Students are free to drop in and out at any time. The material is not cumulative.
