Then on your document you will sort the types of the bones into their appropriate categories. Then you will identify the bone composition and phases of growth. In this lesson we will discuss Osteocytes, Osteoclasts, and Osteoblasts, Osteogenisus, epiphyseal plates, appositional growth, long bones, short bones, irregular bones, and flat bones.Week 2Lesson 2Lesson 2: Appendicular SkeletonIn this lesson you will be learning about the roles of the Axial Skeleton. After playing the games, review the video to watch the demonstration of naming the Axial Skeleton. We will practice naming the parts of the Cervical Vertebrae, Lumbar Vertebrae, Thoracic Vertebrae, Sternum, Frontal, Parietal, Temporal, Occipital, Zygomatic, Mandible, Maxillae, Vomer, Sacrum, Coccyx, Atlas and Axis bones.Week 3Lesson 3Lesson 3: Axial SkeletonIn this lesson you will practice the Appendicular Skeleton with me by watching the demonstration and then completing your bone graphic. The bones we will name are: Scapula, Humerus, Radius, Ulna, Carpals, Metacarpals, Phalanges, Femur, Patella, Tibia, Fibula, Tarsals, Metatarsals, and Calcaneus.Week 4Lesson 4Lesson 4: Classifying FracturesIn this lesson, you will return to the video and learn about fractures. You will be able to identify fractures based on description and x ray or cartoon images. You will be able to differentiate between closed and open fractures, complete, greenstick and compound fractures, transverse, longitudinal, and oblique fractures, as well as depression fractures, impacted fractures and more. You will learn the process of bone repair. You will be able to sequence the steps of bone repair.
