If you do not see a time that works for you, please check my organization, which offers the same course taught by my personal teacher associates: https://outschool.com/classes/elementary-writing-master-paragraphs-step-by-step-qSxmmhzb?sectionUid=31bd0843-1c2b-4658-b0f0-5b701eee2862&usid=M5RV0QGD&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link In this ongoing course, learners ages 8-12 will explore the 4 essential parts and the structure of the perfect paragraph to master writing a perfect paragraph appropriate for their age/ability. They will view a clear example as they learn the parts, spin a wheel of topics, and work as a class to write a paragraph together. Then, they will work alone to write their own paragraph after spinning the wheel of topics and present it to the class if they would like (completely optional). The class will begin with an interactive discussion review of a presentation of the 4 essential parts of a paragraph and things to pay attention to while writing. We will use a sandwich analogy and CUPS pneumonic to help check our writing. The class will complete a paragraph together on a topic decided by the Wheel of Topics, beginning with a graph organizer. Finally, each learner will complete a graphic organizer and paragraph individually on a topic decided by the Wheel of Topics. Everyone will have the opportunity to share their paragraph. Simple corrections and encouraging feedback will be provided by the teacher during the sharing. Paragraphs can be sent to the teacher in private for more extensive feedback. Learners are encouraged to interact and ask questions of their peers and the teacher. Teacher guidance is offered throughout the lesson. Since the topics will be decided randomly by the spinning of the Wheel of Topics, there are no weekly themes. As an ongoing course, learners may enroll and withdraw as necessary. List of topics on the wheel (updated 4/11/2022) video games pets brothers and sisters doing chores homework candy birthday parties Christmas junk food favorite meal reading bedtimes going on vacation making my bed pizza favorite singer something I'm good at my best friend playing board games
