Students will learn how to choose a pattern and thread for a project. They will learn how to successfully count stitches to make sure their patterns turn out correctly. They will have the opportunity to test out different patterns and learn how to find patterns online. They will learn how to choose an idea and make it come to life on a pattern!

Cross-Stitch 101
What is it? How do I do it? How much fun can I have? What do I need?
I will answer these questions as well teach them the basics of cross-stitching. This class will be a tutorial and opportunity for students to start on their first project. 60 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Cardinals and Flowers
This class will be a completion of the Cardinals and an introduction to single line stitches and flowers. Students will submit items for final projects designs. 60 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Final project prep

Present Projects

This class will not have a reading requirement but its hands-on approach is great for students who have a quick interest in crafting.

Students will have needles so a thimble or a dulled needle is recommended for this class.

DMC or similar branded fabric for cross-stitching DMC 300 in Black thread Any DMC color of their choosing (minimum of 4-5 shades) More colors after final project is chosen Thread is less than $1/skein at Michael’s - I suggest getting supplies there.

Students will need DMC or similar fabric. They will also need embroidery thread. Students will need the basic DMC 300 (black) and an assortment of shades of their choosing. They will also need the assigned shades for their chosen final project.
