Math skills that we work on: Time, nearest minute Measurement Adding and subtraction regrouping Place value multiplication division word problems etc. Reading skills: vocabulary words reading reading comprehension Context clues and keywords Prediction Sequencing Writing Process (3 paragraphs) Science: Planets in order from the sun Plants liquids solids minerals baking soda volcano Hypothesis observation Procedures Geography: Different states and landmarks School year Calendar: August 19, 2024- May 29th, 2025 Full Curriculum Monday: ELA / Writing and Reading Tuesday: Math/ Blooket Wednesday: Science or Social Studies / Blooket Fun Learners will be given 3 vocabulary words weekly Week of August 21: Monday: ELA vocabulary fun and writing graphic organizer Reading: TBA Geography Florida Math adding with carrying Reading vocabulary words from the passage and reading aloud Science: Mercury worksheet Week of August 28 : Calendar Month Date and Year Geography Georgia Subtraction with regrouping Reading vocabulary words from the passage and reading aloud Science: Venus Worksheet Week of September 4th: (no school Monday, September 4th, 2023) Calendar Month Date and Year Geography North and South Carolina Math adding and subtraction Reading vocabulary words from the passage and reading aloud Science: Earth worksheet Writing: Graphic organizer Week of September 11th Calendar Month Date and Year Geography Tennesse Multiplication facts 1 & 2 (counters needed) Reading vocabulary words from the passage and reading aloud Science: Mars worksheet Writing: Graphic organizer Week of September 18th: Calendar Month Date and Year Geography Alabama Multiplication facts 3 & 4 Reading vocabulary words from the passage and reading aloud Science: Jupiter facts worksheet Writing: Introduction Worksheets for every subject are provided Sunday before class.
