I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years experience leading history and geography within schools in the UK.
We will discuss how the fire started and how it destroyed much of London - Although the resources (cartoon pictures like in the class cover photo) will be used it is aimed and adapted to young learners. However, some learners may find the topic of fire upsetting and therefore please ensure this is a suitable class for your learner! Each week a Nearpod link will be posted which will contain videos and interactive activities. Learners don’t need to create an account.
Extracts from Samuel Pepys diary - learners will explore what sources of History are reliable and which we may question. BBC Teach - pictures of 17th century artifacts e.g. water squirt used in the fire. Twinkl education - activities, timelines and quizzes.
