This course is designed to build on the course, High School Spanish I quarter 3. Along with new material, previous vocabulary and grammar concepts will be revisited as new material is introduced. Once new vocabulary is introduced via class lecture, google slides and at times, video clips, we will practice the content using fun, interactive games and conversation. We will participate in interactive vocabulary games via Kahoot, Quizlet and Pear Deck Vocabulary builder and vocabulary specific Mad Libs. These varied activities will allow the learner both guided practice as well as independent thinking before the end of class. Students will be provided with independent learning activities at the end of each class. I am an interactive teacher with the goal of making learning both fun and educational. My classes include interactive discussion, games, songs and role play. Each class will begin with a warm up/greeting. We will then discuss the previous lesson/homework if applicable. New material will be shared via Google slides and each slides presentation will be shared with participants at the end of each class. Specifically, Students will learn to read, write and speak using irregular stem changing present tense verbs ending in AR/ER/IR. Students will also be able to identify, conjugate, speak and write using past tense preterite verbs. Students will expand on his or her previous vocabulary base and explore topics on sports, hobbies, leisure activities, daily routines and health in Spanish. Week 1 Irregular stem change verbs Week 2/3 reflexive verbs with daily routines Week 4 sports, hobbies, leisure activities Week 5 Past tense (preterite) Week 6 Past tense (irregular preterite) Week 7 Health/doctors office Week 8 Communicate using previous vocabulary combined with the past tense
