Hi, are you looking for a one-one-one and comprehensive high school Chemistry class for your 14 to 18 years old? If yes, consider enrolling into this class. In this class students will learn the following topics as listed below. The scheduling is flexible you can choose to do once a week, twice a week or 3 times a week, I recommend 3 times per week class if you will like to finish within the time frame listed below. Also students can choose to take this class in parts, pat 1: week 1 to 7, part 2 : week 8 to 14 and part 3: week 15 to 21. Week 1: Day 1: What is Chemistry and Chemistry as a science? Day 2: What is Matter (physical and chemical properties of matter, states of matter, and changes of state) Day 3: Classification of Matter (pure substances, mixtures, and separation techniques) Week 2: Day 1: Atomic Theories Day 2: Atomic structure and Isotopes (protons, neutrons, electrons and average atomic mass) Day 3: Periodic Table and Trends Week 3: Day 1: Measurements in Chemistry (Precision, Accuracy, SI units, unit conversions) Day 2: Dimensional Analysis and Density calculations Day 3: Scientific Notation, Significant Figures Week 4: Day 1: Chemical Bonding and Types of Bonds Day 2: Lewis Structures and VSEPR Theory Day 3: Polarity Week 5: Day 1: Intermolecular Forces Day 2: Hybridization, Sigma and Pi Bonds Day 3: Resonance Structures Week 6: Day 1: Quantities in Chemistry (Mole, Mass and Molar mass) Day 2: Avogadro's Number and Percent Composition Day 3: Empirical Formula Week 7: Day 1: Combustion Analysis Day 2: Stoichiometry Day 3: Limiting and Excess Reactant, Percent yield Week 8: Day 1: Chemical Formulas (Writing and Naming Ionic Compounds, hydrates) Day 2: Writing and Naming Molecular compounds Day 3: Writing and Naming Acids Week 9: Day 1: Chemical Reactions and Types of Chemical Reactions Day 2: Writing and Balancing chemical reactions Day 3: Ionic and Net Ionic Equations Week 10: Day 1: Gas Laws explained using virtual lab (Boyles, Charles, Gay Lussac's, Avogadro's, Combined and Ideal gas laws) Day 2: Gas law Calculations Day 3: Dalton's Law of Partial Pressure and Graham's law Week 11: Day 1: Solutions and Solubility Day 2: Molarity Day 3: Solubility Constant Equation Week 12: Day 1: Quantum numbers Day 2: Electronic configuration Day 3: Exceptions and Spin Electronic Configuration Week 13: Day 1: Nuclear Chemistry (Nuclear reactions and Radiations) Day 2: Types of Radiations Day 3: Nuclear Fission and Fusion Week 14: Day 1: Organic Chemistry 1 (Introduction, Hydrocarbons, Functional groups) Day 2: Isomerism Day 3: Introduction to Nomenclature (Hydrocarbons) Week 15: Day 1: Nomenclature and Writing Organic compounds) Day 2: Types of Organic reactions Day 3: Writing Organic reactions Week 16: Day 1: Thermochemistry (Exothermic and Endothermic Reactions, Energy Diagrams, Heat Capacity and Calorimetry...) Day 2: Enthalpy of Formation and Bond Enthalpy Day 3: Hess law and Energy diagrams Week 17: Day 1: Equilibrium (Equilibrium Constant Expressions, and Calculation K) Day 2: Reaction Quotient Day 2: Le Chateliers Principle Week 18: Day 1 Acids and Bases (Introduction, conjugate acids and base and pH scale) Day 2 Acid base equilibrium Day 3: Titrations and Buffers Week 19: Day 1: Kinetics (Collision Theory and Reaction rates) Day 2: Introduction to rate law, reaction order and half Life Day 3: Elementary reactions, Reaction energy profile and Catalysis Week 20: Day 1: Redox reactions and finding oxidation states of elements in a compound Day 2: Balancing redox reactions Day 3: Reduction Potential table, Spontaneity, E cell calculation Galvanic and Electrolytic cells Week 21: Day 1: Entropy, Enthalpy and Gibbs Free energy Day 2: Thermodynamic and Kinetic Control Day 3: Electrolysis and Faraday's Law Each week topics will be explained in a simple way and practical examples will be used, to help students understand better, where applicable. This class will be interactive and students will be able to demonstrate understanding by participating in the review questions given, towards the end of the class. We need a total of 63 sessions to complete the whole course, you can choose how many times you or your learner wants to attend class per week.
