週あたり 1-2 時間. Students will have weekly "challenges" designed to get them outside in nature, studying plant morphology in real life and working with the plants discussed in the lessons. At the beginning of each week there will be time for sharing what students discovered and crafted. These challenges are designed to be fun and to encourage students to spend time outside exploring what they have learned in class.

This is the SELF-PACED version of the course! There will not be any live meetings! There will, however, be plenty of opportunities for interacting and sharing in the classroom space, including weekly challenges. It is important that you spend time outside of class working with the plants - that is where the course content comes to life! It's fine if you don't find the plant of the week, don't get discouraged! We can talk about what challenges you had and any other interesting plants you encountered while you were searching. This course comes with a beautiful, full-color PDF course-book! The course-book includes ALL the information covered in class as well as many more plant monographs and recipes for you to explore, a total of 207 pages of content!

Welcome to Wildcrafting! My name is Heather and I will be your guide on this learning journey!

Do you want to know a secret? I can talk to plants! That’s right, I can talk to all the plants and trees in the forest, but the most important thing I do is to listen. I am an herbalist.

I’m going to teach you how to listen to the plants. How to identify and care for them, when and how to harvest them ethically and how to use them to help your friends, family, and yourself! Along the way, you’ll have the chance to learn how to make fun and recipes and crafts! Nature is full of wonderful gifts. Gifts of food and healing that are all around us. Now let’s get outside and start learning!

教師の専門知識と資格
I am a graduate of The School of Evolutionary Herbalism where I completed the Vitalist Herbal Practitioner Program for Clinical Skills and Holistic Therapies under the tutelage of Sajah Popham. I have also taken courses on the topic of herbalism taught by Matthew Wood, Judith Hill, and Asia Suler. However, my greatest teachers have been the plants themselves. I have spent decades listening to them, sitting with them, harvesting them, reading about them, and crafting my own remedies and that personal connection and experience has been invaluable. For the past 5 years I have taught my Introduction to Wildcrafting class to over 1000 children and I have several groups of students who have continued studying with me for 4+ years. I truly believe that teaching our children about the natural world is the single most important thing that we can do for the future of our beautiful planet and teaching it through the lens of healing might just be the most important thing we do for the future of humanity.
