このクラスで学べること

英語レベル - A2
米国の学年 9 - 12
Beginner - Advanced レベル向け
Interactive class where we’ll discuss actual scenarios of “difficult conversations”, with examples relevant to this age group.

We all have at least one "difficult person" in our life. We are a "difficult person" to at least one other person too!

It often comes down to different personality types and different ways of handling conflicts, misunderstandings or disagreements.

How to handle "difficult conversations”: improve your skills and confidence in one hour.

I teach this using three simple exercises:
- Getting super clear on our “desired outcomes” from the conversation. What difference will it make?
- Preparing before the convo. Handling anxiety, lack of trust, building our confidence. How to get calm and focused.
- How you'll handle it during the convo if it starts going off track.

We discuss a diagram at the start with two axes: Easy/difficult topic, “easy”/“difficult” person.

I teach students to separate "topics and tasks" from "trust and teamwork". This is super helpful.

Come and learn the basics of this essential life skill. You might be better at it than you think.

教師の専門知識と資格
I’m a qualified architect since 2004, successful entrepreneur, parent of twins aged 16, triple-certified coach since 2020.

I’ve become a specialist in helping people handle “difficult conversations”, for example with family and friends, parents talking with school, employees talking with their boss or with co-workers, entrepreneurs talking with their co-founders, investors and customers.

I didn’t find handling difficult conversations easy myself, as a shy/cautious child and teenager, so I’ve had to learn to build up these skills and my confidence over the years. That means I empathise deeply and can understand why it’s hard - which helps me be a supportive and encouraging teacher of these essential life skills.

This is a class I wish I’d had as a teen.

I make the class fun, engaging, relevant, safe, and effective.
