I have been a middle school science teacher for over 15 years. I had the opportunity to work at Oakridge Science Laboratory in Tennessee as part of a teacher internship; where every day was like being on the set of the Big Bang Theory. I also am a huge fan of the Avengers!

Students have access to a Quizlet section on the science vocabulary used in the class and one about the movie characters.
Marvel movies are science-fiction action movies based on good versus bad characters. There is violence and death in these movies and they are rated PG-13. Short clips from YouTube are used in class to help showcase and explain specific science concepts from the movies and scientists. If time allows learners will engage in a teacher-created Blooket game for review at the end of each lesson. The quiz will be posted in the classroom if time does not allow. Blooket provides a unique and private link for each class game. There is no learner registration required to play the game.
