This PowerPoint Slide presentation course will stress and focus on writing a single paragraph correctly.  Young, emergent writers will learn how to develop the correct paragraph structure when you enroll them in Guided Writing Practice one.  Children will have an opportunity to practice the four genres of writing by constructing one paragraph on different topics which will total 24 written drafts or more (depending on how it is listed).  Each child will walk away with an understanding of how to correctly develop a Topic Sentence, Supporting Details, and a Closing Sentence for Descriptive, Explanatory, Persuasive and Narrative texts.   

Additionally, students will be taught some techniques for developing the introduction and supporting sentences to enhance their writing. Upon completion of their finished draft, they will be asked to read and share it in class if desired.  Otherwise, they can send me a copy via the Outschool messaging service.

All students will be required to have a notebook, a writing utensil, and a Transitional Words list.  I will provide a link in the first class session for the Transitions.
