Source/Book: The Latin American Cultural Studies Reader by Ana Del Sarto and Culture and Traditions by Eric Foner (you DO NOT have to purchase). These are the book I will be referencing. All materials is appropriated for learners. Students will learn how one empire's cruel ending was another's wealthy beginning, this will be a teachable moment for student. I will NOT discussion religion with learners. However, racism and discrimination against the Indigenous will be discussed in class, as a teachable moment. We will discuss race as far as distinguishing the groups and the location of those involved in the invasion of South America.
