文法動物: 珍しい動物について学びながら文法スキルを練習する (1～3 年生)

In this ongoing class, students will learn about a new animal each week while they get the chance to practice their grammar skills.  Once your student has been introduced to basic grammar concepts, it is always beneficial to practice them within the context of written information.  As we read some interesting animal facts, we will break down sentences according to grammar principles so learners can actually see how these concepts connect with each other.

Each class will cover 1 - 2 grammar concepts including topics like singular and plural nouns, adjectives, action verbs, helping verbs, linking verbs, contractions, adverbs, prepositions, prepositional phrases, conjunctions, interjections, pronouns, capitalization, and more.  I will send grammar notes each week to the classroom as well as an activity page.  

Bringing fun animals into the grammar classroom is sure to stimulate interest and engagement with students.  Each class is totally independent of the others, so learners are free to come and go as they please.  I do recommend that students already have a basic knowledge of 2nd grade grammar concepts. Before each class I will send any pertinent notes to the classroom for your STUDENT TO REVIEW BEFORE CLASS.  We won't go over the grammar notes in class but will use them as we work with the sentences.  **PLEASE CHECK THE CLASSROOM EACH WEEK BEFORE CLASS so you can print off the grammar notes.
