Students learn to tell what is the subject of a sentence
Students will practice subjects in sentences.
Students will learn rules of the predicate.
Students will name or write sentences using predicate.
Students will have a writing activity writing what they learned about subjects and predicates in writing a short entry. 
Students learn the rules for combining sentences.
Students will learn which words in the two sentences are the same and which words students use can be put together with "and"
Students learn to practice combining sentences and join the word "and."
Students will practice a writing activity and write a short paragraph using the rules they have learned. 
Students will practice the rules and sentences using commas in sentences.
