One of the ways tweens and teens connect together is with video games. They play together, learn together, and talk about the games even when not playing. Give your tween or teen a place to be safe while playing their favorite Roblox games, while also connecting and making friends. Learners request what games they want to play, and we play a different game each week. We will begin class with a brief sharing time. Any learner can share something with the entire class if they would like, but sharing is completely optional. Learners are welcome to recommend their favorite games as they would like. I will then prescreen the games for appropriateness and then add them to our weekly schedule. I will make sure that each learner gets one of their favorite games added to the schedule. We will then play the game of the week! Learners are welcome to help each other learn the game and work together. It is possible that we will switch games or play more than one game depending on the learners interests. I will also pose question not relating to the game, just to get the learners talking and connect to each other. Here are the guidelines for game selection: 🎮 Games must be listed as 'all ages' or 9+ in Roblox. 🎮 If a learner suggests a games that is 13+ or N/A, I will ask permission from the adults via Outschool messages before the game can be played. 🎮There are occasions where learners will want to play a different game. Learners are not allowed to join public servers while we are in class. If they wish to join a different game in a public server, they will need to log out of Zoom to play that particular game. *It is best for learners to join our Outschool class on one device and play Roblox on a separate device. *Students should already have Roblox installed on their chosen device. Once a student enrolls, I will send a private message to obtain their Roblox username.

This class involves playing games that are rated 9+. Game content may include violence, use of weapons and/or blood, and horror or scary situations. I will prescreen Roblox games for age appropriateness, however if parents are concerned about the content of the game, I strongly suggest being present during the class for supervision. If there is a game a parent would not like us to play, please let me know and I will make sure we do not play that game. Additionally if a leaners express their concern for a game or that they do not want to play a specific game, that game will not be played.
Outschool is proud to offer classes that allow learners to connect with each other on their favorite gaming platforms. Gameplay will not be held on public servers. Gamer tags will be required to share with the teacher in order to play on a private server. Please private message me gamer tags and do not post them in the classroom.

Learners will always need a device to join the Zoom meeting and a device to join their Roblox game. They are also welcome to bring items they would like to share/show others.

I've worked with children for 20 years, starting as a camp counselor teaching drama classes.
𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 4 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟐200 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀!
My styles of classes include enrichment clubs based on the interests of learners. Activities include arts & crafts, cooking, gaming, and movement.
I also have Roblox based classes and movement classes.
I have a Master's Degree in Communication from Illinois State University.
I'm a Mom of two awesome kiddos who also love their Outshool classes!
Outschool has become an irreplaceable part of our daily lives!
