In this exciting course your learner will be oriented with TinkerCad 3D design software and learn the very basics of manipulating shapes to create something using the 3D design process. Please note: Learners will need a free INDIVIDUAL account prior to the start of class. TinkerCAD's process for child accounts takes a few days to approve so please make their account at tinkercad.com before the day of class. I have taught students in 3rd-5th grade the basics of TinkerCad for several years as part of an interdisciplinary project at my brick and mortar school. I recently presented about this project at the Texas Computer Educators Association convention.

Students will need a parent created account on https://www.tinkercad.com/ and will need to be logged in before class starts. TinkerCAD is COPPA Compliant resource see this article for more information: https://blog.tinkercad.com/2013/07/30/whats-up-with-education-accounts. If a temporary account is needed while waiting for a parent-approved account for kids under 13 please message me for information. These temporary accounts will be deleted without notice frequently to ensure student safety and to comply with Outschool standards. Paper and pencils are often useful for sketching ideas.
