1️⃣ Get Started with Scratch: Set Up for Creative Coding Fun!
This lesson is perfect for beginners getting started with Scratch through various small projects. Students will learn the basic Scratch interface, sprites, editor, blocks, coding concepts, sound, color, and how to edit a small project with sprite movement, color changes, sound incorporation, music adding, and saving and sharing projects. Typically, students need 2 to 5 times to feel comfortable with video game creation using Scratch, which will support their progression to the next level.

📚 Lesson Details:
Duration: One-time lesson
Focus: Basic Scratch interface, sprites, editor, blocks, coding concepts, sound, color, sprite movement, color changes, sound incorporation, music adding, saving and sharing projects.
Projects: Various small projects (Examples are listed below)
Goal: Build comfort and familiarity with Scratch for video game creation.

💻To join the fun, you'll need a computer, mouse, keyboard, and a web browser open to Scratch. We recommend using two screens if possible: one to watch the instructor and one to work on your Scratch project. If not, a single screen will work fine. A tablet can be used for viewing the class, but a computer is necessary for using Scratch due to the need for a mouse and keyboard.
