10 Minute - Homework review as needed
15 Minute - Mini lesson on the topic of the day
15 Minute - Practice problems as a group

Topics covered are as followed:
Week 1: Operations -> Multidigit Multiplication & Division, PEMDAS, Volume
Week 2: Fractions -> Adding, subtracting, multiplying, & dividing fractions with unlike denominators
Week 3: Decimals -> Adding, subtracting, multiplying, & dividing decimals
Week 4: Geometry -> Measurement conversions, graphing, & 2D figures

My teaching style: I teach my online classes by chunking lessons and encouraging frequent participation from students. I expect students to be engaged, with cameras on, and answering questions when called on! This helps me know where they are at with the material and if they need more of my support. I also incorporate lots of word problems at this age to push students to make applications to real world mathematical problems and encourage them to think more about what their answers mean in the context of the problem! This is building those skills for higher level thinking!
