In this engaging German Enrichment Club for kids ages 8-12, beginners will learn basic German vocabulary and phrases in a fun and interactive way. Each class focuses on practical topics and simple sentences, helping students build confidence in speaking. With the help of Fritz, the German-speaking dragon, learners will practice everyday words and phrases while interacting in a natural and playful setting.  

Each week introduces a new topic, covering vocabulary related to animals, colors, everyday objects, nature, and common greetings. Since the lessons do not build on each other, students can join at any time without needing prior knowledge. The class follows a structured yet dynamic format, beginning with a warm-up where learners greet Fritz and me. A new topic is introduced using real-life objects, images, and short dialogues with Fritz, allowing students to engage with the language in a meaningful way. Learners then practice speaking through guided conversations and interactive activities before wrapping up with a quick review and a fun farewell to Fritz.  

My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and designed to make learning German enjoyable. Rather than relying on memorization, I encourage students to use the language naturally by speaking with Fritz. Since Fritz only understands German, students are motivated to use German words right away in order to communicate with him. As a native German speaker with no accent, I provide accurate pronunciation, helping students build confidence in their speaking skills. I use props, visuals, gestures, and occasional worksheets to support learning in a fun, immersive way.  

This is a highly interactive class where students will have plenty of opportunities to speak, ask questions, and engage with Fritz and me. Every student is encouraged to participate at their own pace in a supportive and relaxed environment.
