 Geometry is all about Shapes!
 In this lesson, we will learn about polygon shapes: parallelograms, 
 rectangles, trapezoids, squares, triangles, and more. This is an 
 important topic to understand in geometry.   
 Students will:
-Categorize shapes when given pictures of the shapes with symbols. 
-Categorize shapes without any pictures, using written information.
-Take a list of sentences and put all of that information onto a shape, 
  using only symbols. 
-Write congruence statements. 

 In this session, we will explore angles and how they relate to the different shapes. 
Students will:
-Determine the angle measures within shapes, using a formula.
-Understand complimentary and supplementary angles. 
-Use algebra to solve for angles within different shapes. 
-Understand angle bisectors.
-Know when to use 1 letter versus 3 letters to denote angles.
-Use 3 letters to denote angles within a shape. 

 In this lesson, we will practice using the distance formula and midpoint formula to determine information about polygon sides. Students will:
-Find polygon side lengths using the distance formula.
-Find midpoints of polygon sides using the midpoint formula. 
-Label the congruent information on the polygons using symbols. 

 In this session, we will learn how to find the exact area and perimeters of triangles, squares, and rectangles.
Students will:
-Calculate the areas and perimeters of given shapes.
-Label our answers in correct unit measures.
-Relate area, perimeter and circumference to things in our lives.
