Private sessions are the best option to accelerate your child's progress learning a foreign language. During these 1-on-1 lessons, we will focus on your child's needs and interests. Your student might be a beginner, intermediate or fluent and he/she just needs a buddy to keep improving his/her conversational skills. I will design your child's curriculum with lessons that will encourage his/her curiosity, creativity and understanding of the variety and richness of the Hispanic Culture. 🌟If your student is a Beginner or Intermediate Learner we might cover the topics below: - Greetings: What's your name & How are you? - How old are you? Counting 1-10 - My Family - Animal Families / Likes & Dislikes. Articles & Wh Question: Cuántos....hay? - Colors Blue, Red, Green (objects with these colors). Likes & Dislikes - Colors Yellow, Orange, Brown (objects with these colors). Likes & Dislikes - Upper Body Parts / Verb: To have - Lower Body Parts and Verb: To have - Wild Animals and Wild Animal's Body Parts - Shapes / Drawing with Shapes - Fruits & Descriptions - Pets (Mascotas) Body Parts & Choice questions review - Activities (action verbs) and Likes & Dislikes - Days of the Week and My Weekly Schedule - Clothing & Verb to wear - The Weather & How is the weather today? - Season's of the Year - At School Items - My House - Prepositions More topics will be added... As an experienced Spanish Teacher, I follow the TPRS Method (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling). TPRS lessons are a mixture of reading, storytelling and repetition. This methodology motivates and prepares students to trust themselves speaking, reading and understanding a foreign language. In addition, I use a lot of visual aids during the class. This helps my students follow the session and reinforces the new vocabulary.

Hola Niños! My name is Jackie. I was born and raised in Perú. Now, I live in Virginia with my family. I hold a B.S. in HR Management and I'm a Certified Interpreter/Translator for the Winchester Public Schools and local hospital. In addition, I'm TEFL certified and I have been a Spanish Teacher since 2004. My first experience as a teacher was in a regular classroom setting but since 2016, I have become a Virtual Spanish Instructor. Online platforms allow me to reach out to students from all over the World. I enjoy preparing my students try their first words in a foreign language. At the beginning they can be very hesitant but little by little, I help them build their confidence and speak in full sentences. Teaching my language is a very rewarding experience! 😃Therefore, I have designed Online Spanish lessons for Beginners, Mid and Advanced students so my little and big learners can keep taking as many classes as they want. Your children can take One-Time lessons, Multi-Day classes, Ongoing Conversational sessions and / or participate in Book Readings, Spanish Camps or Semester Spanish Classes!

My teaching philosophy is learning while having FUN and presenting the material in small pieces. I keep my classes small (1-8 students max.) and we do a lot repetition. My goal is for students to internalize the vocabulary so they can use it in their daily routines.
