This 6-week course is a step-by-step introduction to figure drawing, it is approachable enough for beginners and detailed enough for more advanced young artists. I take pride in producing high quality videos and providing detailed personalized feedbacks on students' work.

In this course, we will learn basic techniques that are used to draw the human body with precise proportions and accuracy. We will touch base on gesture drawing, anatomy, drawing silhouettes and character design. 

We will be using the most accessible supplies (graphite pencils and a black pen) to create our projects. I will be uploading a video with a full length drawing process at the beginning of each week, so that the students can follow along and draw together with me. Drawing process will be divided into a few steps with detailed information on what we are doing and why. Students will have one week to finish each piece and send it to the teacher through private messaging or upload it to the classroom.

Students will receive a personalized constructive feedback on their work each week, as well as support and encouragement when needed during the drawing process. I will also promote students' communication with each other by posting an interactive activity for the students to work on together each week, such as trivia quizzes, scavenger hunt and fun fact sharing.

Week One. Understanding proportions and a basic structure of a human body. Male and female characters, "The Incredibles". Silhuettes - Male and Female Dancers.
Week Two. Introduction to Gesture drawing, drawing figure in motion. Male and female superheroes.
Week Three. Understanding proportions of human faces.
Week Four. Understanding basic structure of hands and feet.
Week Five. Introduction to Character Design. How to draw a character wearing an outfit. Anime characters, Sailor Moon.

Please note that this class is a "flex" class, meaning there are no live meetings and all interactions between the students and the teacher happen on the class page.
