I have been teaching classes on the history of diseases and historical medicine for four years. My one time classes cover ancient plagues and Medieval, Colonial, and Victorian diseases and medicine. I have a Master of Arts degree in Early European History. Additionally, I have worked in emergency medicine for sixteen years.
This class will have several images of diseases, such as leprosy. We will be discussing childbirth, miscarriages, and women's health related topics. Signs and symptoms of diseases, for example vomiting and diarrhea, will be mentioned several times.
