国を越えた友情：ソーシャルグループ（生徒 11 ～ 16 歳）ソーシャルスキルなど

I am an educator certified in numerous states with a background in both general and special education. I have a background in working with individuals with ASD and have been certified to teach since 2002 (but was teaching since 1999). I hope to create an inclusive group of peers who can work on social skills, tell jokes, about their day, and visit together each week.

You do not have to have ASD or another diagnosis to join this class! This is an inclusive environment for any student who wants to visit and work on conversational skills. 

Each week we'll explore different conversation topics based on the group's interests and current events. Sample topics include:

-- Share what makes someone a great friend and build social skills
-- Discuss favorite movies and why they're meaningful
-- Introduce your pets and learn about animal care
-- Lead a mini-lesson on your unique talents or skills
-- Talk about favorite foods and food traditions
-- Explore ways to help others in our community
-- Show and tell for proud accomplishments or creations
-- Play "Would You Rather" decision games

Topics and schedule will adapt based on student engagement and interests. Our discussions will be interactive and student-driven!
