In this one time class we will: First go around and introduce ourselves and for those that have Frenchies, do a 10-15 minute show and tell. If you have another breed of doggy that is fine too! We welcome all puppys and peoples! The remainder of the class will involve: -The History of the French Bulldog breed -Some interesting facts about the breed - How to properly care for your Frenchie to include hygiene and grooming -Tips on how to properly train a Frenchie. (They can be quite stubborn and a little difficult to train.) I will teach by giving verbal lecture style instructions, and also live demonstrations with Bruce. If time permits I might show some pictures and videos as well.

Hello Future Parents and Students!
My name is Omar Ruiz. I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I have been an Outschool teacher for over 4 ½ years, and absolutely love it!
I was a Firefighter/Emergency Medical Responder for over 10 years, was in the US Coast Guard for 4 1/2 years, have owned several, very successful small businesses, and have worked as a substitute teacher as well. Needless to say, I am incredibly thankful for all my work experiences, especially being a teacher here at Outschool.
My education Includes an AA in Business, a BA in Personal & Family Financial Services, and a BA in Entrepreneurship. I am also currently working on obtaining another BA in Emergency Management.
What I enjoy teaching the most about is all things survival. I have been an outdoorsman, and true lover of nature since I could walk. With my experience in emergency services, the military; and the many adventures I have gone on, I am truly happy to pass on the knowledge I have learned to your students.
Another passion of mine, entrepreneurship, is something I could quite literally talk about for hours. I have had several very successful small businesses, and have tons of experience with starting and running a business.
In my personal life I love camping, traveling, hiking, backpacking and hanging out with my 16 year old son, Boxer dog Bella and my Frenchie Bruce. A few other passions of mine are 4Wheeling, off-roading, fishing, volunteering, and anything entrepreneurial.
