FRANKENSTEIN - Part 1 (Chapters 1-6)
Part 1 of our exploration of *Frankenstein* by Mary Shelley. In this Gothic masterpiece, Shelley challenges us to think deeply about the limits of human ambition, the consequences of creation, and the role of isolation in shaping our identity. Today, we’ll begin our analysis of the first six chapters, where the foundations of these themes are laid through the character of Victor Frankenstein and the early stages of his life.

These chapters mark a pivotal shift in the novel, as Victor’s creation—the monster—begins his own journey, and the consequences of Victor’s decisions start to unfold. Parents should be aware that the classic Gothic novel, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, contains themes of violence, death, and ethical dilemmas around scientific experimentation. Common Sense Media suggests it is best suited for readers aged 14 & up. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/frankenstein
