This is a FLEXIBLE course with NO LIVE MEETINGS!

All of my flex schedule courses use Nearpod. Each lesson will contain a video lecture and activities for learners to complete. 
Fractions and decimals is a month long class with 4 lessons plus 1 cumulative review assignment each week, which will cover all previously introduced topics. I will post 1 lesson per day, Monday-Friday.

Week 1: Fraction terms including numerator and denominator, drawing fractions, like and unlike fractions, comparing like fractions, review of division with remainders, mixed numbers and improper fractions
Week 2: Reducing fractions, adding like fractions, subtracting like fractions, least common multiple
Week 3: Greatest common factor, adding unlike fractions, subtracting unlike fractions, multiplying fractions
Week 4: Dividing fractions, long division review, decimals, comparing unlike fractions

We will also have an optional weekly quiz available on Kahoot. 

This course is designed for learners in about 4th-6th grade in US schools, ages 10-12. Basic skills in all four arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) are required. Other required skills (such as dividing with remainders) are covered in lessons before they are needed (such as converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers).
