Forensic Science 9: Cryptology Part 2 will focus heavily on cryptology from the past century, while bringing in older techniques which can make hybrid systems more challenging. With each code-making approach, students will have the opportunity to use known techniques and suggest variations to add complexity. I have taught forensic science for nearly 20 years. My particular area of expertise is the infamous Zodiac case, and I have a book in preparation on the complete solution to the cryptologic creations of the Zodiac. I consider myself a world leader in Zodiac cryptology, which requires an extensive knowledge of multiple areas of cryptanalysis.
