このクラスで学べること

*Please note that as a Flexible Schedule Course, there will be no live meetings.

Each week, learners will have three different stories read to them.
Listening to stories has many benefits, including developing focus, patience, and literacy skills.
Stories are a great way for children to learn life lessons in a fun way.

For each story, there will be four videos- a video of the story being read, a step-by-step drawing tutorial (featuring a character, theme, or animal from the story), a coloring/background drawing tutorial, and discussion questions. Each video will be 3-5 minutes long, designed for short attention spans and busy learners! In other words, each week, learners will have access to 12 videos!
The drawings will be simple; designed for learners to further develop their fine-motor skills / shape recognition / and artistic expression.
These skills will also assist learners as they begin perfecting their writing.

Videos will be available for the duration of the FLEX course, so learners can listen to the stories and follow along with the drawing tutorials as much as they'd like!

There will be a post created after each story and drawing tutorial for learners to share their work (either by submitting a photo of their drawing or a video). Learners are to comment on the work of others in the class (encouraged to comment with something they liked about another learner's drawing). Learners should submit 3 photos each week and answer the 3 discussion questions to gain the most from this class. Learners can answer discussion questions by responding with a video, picture, and/or comment.

Each story contains a valuable life lesson (it may be about friendship, kindness, sharing, bullying, having confidence in being yourself, etc.), and each week learners will be asked to record themselves stating what they enjoyed about the story, and answer a few questions about the story (such as questions about the characters, what the characters in the story learned, and how they can apply those lessons in their own life). Each post is designed to be a class discussion, for learners to come together to share their thoughts.
