このクラスで学べること
Week 1: In this class you will learn how to create an Escape Room using Google Forms through a recorded instructional video where you will be able to work at your own speed while creating your first escape room! I will provide you with a template that we will work on together while creating an escape room. I will also provide you with a number of different resources for you to use as clues within your own escape room. Our class will begin with a short example of what a digital escape room looks like and then we will start to build one together. Students will learn how to add pictures, clues, sections, and answer codes to their form. I will teach them how to "lock" each room, preventing anyone from moving on until they have answered correctly. When class is over, you will leave with a digital escape room that is ready for your friends and family to play! Weekly Challenge: Students will be challenged to create a short escape room based off of what we learned and post it into our classroom. Students will be able to share their escape room with the class and also with me! Week 2: In part 2 of How to Make Your Own Escape Room we will build upon the knowledge from our first class together by learning how to add in specific questions into your games while watching the weekly pre-recorded instructional video. Students will learn how to create a series of other types of questions to use in your own escape rooms. Students will learn how to : -make choose your own adventure questions (You can send your participants to the dungeon if they get a question wrong!) -send the participants to certain sections based on how they answer Students will also learn how to add in specific types of clues into their games: -PigPen Cipher -Caesar Cipher -Rebus Clues (Word Pictures) -Ransomizer Week 3: In Part 3, students will learn how to create their own website using Google Sites that they can use to house their escape rooms while. Students will be able to work at your own pace while watching the pre-recorded video. Students will learn how to place the escape room we created in Part 1 (“Grandma is Gone”) onto their site. I will show them how to create hyperlinks and use Google Drawings to create interactive pictures where students can “hide” clues for people who are playing their escape rooms. Lastly, they will learn how publish their site so other can visit it! As in Week 1 & 2, students will be able to share their websites with their classmates. Students will be encouraged to visit their partner's website and try out their escape room and offer 3 likes and a wish (3 things they liked about their website/escape room and I thing they wished they would have seen) Week 4: Students will work on and then share their escape rooms with other students to try out! In this final week, students will share their final creations with the class and receive teacher and student feedback! (You will need a free Google Account for this class.) If you are using a Google Account from your school, it may restrict access to some of the links.

Each student will need access to a FREE google account, whether it be their own or be able to use a parent's account.
For many students, a school gmail account works, however, I have found that occasionally a school will block certain things like the ability to create the Google Website within that account.
