In The Footsteps of: Hokusai, students are introduced to the 18th century Japanese artist, Hokusai. Hokusai is well known for his print making, charcoal and caricature drawings depicting life around him. Students will explore the same materials as they create their own masterpiece each week.

Being a Flex Class, students participate when it works with their schedule. Each week will include an uploaded video demonstrating a new lesson, in a step-by-step format including a demonstration of the materials and clean-up techniques. The video will also include history of the life of Hokusai and the inspiration for his works of art.

教師の専門知識と資格
I am an illustrator, artist, teacher, business owner, and a pug mom. I have a degree in Illustration, a visual art minor with 20 years of teaching experience. I believe that knowledge is power and the more you know the greater your influence can be. Learning should be fun and individual. Even when my students are looking at the same picture for painting class, their work is very individual and unique to them and I love that part of the creative process. We are all learners and we should celebrate each other on the Journey!
