In this class, I will teach you 5 important spelling rules using manipulatives, Google slides, worksheets, and games. I use a multisensory approach to teaching (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic). Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with one another. ***The first class will include a pre-assessment to determine if this course is right for your needs. ***THE STUDENT OR PARENT MUST BE ABLE TO SEND ME A PICTURE OF THE COMPLETED PRE-ASSESSMENT PAGE SOON AFTER IT IS COMPLETED ON DAY ONE. Students will need a FOLDER WITH POCKETS, paper, pencil (no pens), 5 different colored highlighters or markers(optional), and printed manipulatives cut out and ready for class. Each week I will send you a downloadable file of material including Spelling Notebook and manipulatives. **Students must be able to keep their practice pages organized in a folder, and the manipulatives should be ready to go BEFORE class begins.***

I am passionate about teaching struggling readers. I use a multi-sensory approach to teaching Basic Language Skills, which includes: phonology, sound-symbol association, syllable instruction, morphology, syntax, and semantics.
My interests include reading, travel, word games, puzzles, and rock collecting.
