Do you need a couple brain breaks added to your school week but don't have a ton of time in your schedule? Do you want to start working out but are unsure where to start? Do you want to work out with others but don't have access to a gym? Do you want to workout with a group of people similar to you? THIS FITNESS CLUB IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION!

Some information about this course: 

- In this course, we are going to meet two times per week for 35 minutes. In our Monday session, we will do a circuit style workout where we will complete a variety of exercises that target all muscle groups in the body. In our Friday sessions, we will do fun fitness games that incorporate the exercises that we learned in our Monday session. Some of those games could include: Simon Says, Exercise Dice Game, Exercise Card Game, Virtual Board Game, etc. (Students will be able to vote on the games that they want). We will also be learning about stretching, the importance of mindfulness, and goal setting!

Some examples of exercises that we will be doing in class: 
Push-ups
Sit-ups
Planks
Squats
Lunges
Jumping jacks
High knees 
Bicycles
Leg lifts
Bridges
... and more!

- In addition to physical fitness, students will be learning about the importance of mindfulness through the use of weekly affirmations, (optional) journal prompts, and more. Students will also be given a weekly cooking recipe that they can make at home (also optional). Lastly, students will learn about goal setting in regards to their mental and physical growth. 

- Each week we will incorporate icebreakers, weekly affirmations, dynamic warm ups, main workouts, fitness games, cooldown stretches, and discussions and reflections about our goals. Students will also have the option to have a fitness journal where they can track their fitness goals, progress, and journal prompts. 

- If you happen to not be available for one of the sessions, the recording will be posted for you to follow along with at your convenience!

- It is perfect for all people, no matter your fitness level! All of the exercises require no equipment and can be performed safely in the comfort of your own home! Each exercise is completed at your own pace and can be modified and adapted to fit your own needs and goals.

- Students will need a clear and hazard free space to do all of our body weight exercises. - Students will also need access to drinking water (water bottle or non-glass cup). - Appropriate gym/fitness attire will be necessary.

- Journal (this is optional for goal setting and journaling)
- Workout mat or towel (also optional but would be beneficial for those that have hard floors)

I am an educator in the state of Wisconsin! I am getting my license in Elementary Education with a certificate in Professional Communication. I have worked with children of all ages and backgrounds since 2020! I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force. 

Fitness is a huge part of my life and I love to share that with others. My love for working out came after I joined the military. Not only is it great for your body but it is also has great benefits for our mental health! I hope to inspire that same love in others!
