Whenever possible, single holiday classes will be rescheduled for Fridays at the same time.  If your learner is unable to attend, refunds will be processed.

Join us in a fun and exciting adventure as we learn our phonics sounds, together! Your bright star will reach their full potential and have fun learning with new phonics sounds or blends, songs, and games every week! Our class is a safe and happy place for all learners.

During our weekly classes, your little one will learn how to identify, write, and recognize short and long vowel sounds, consonant blends, and digraphs. They will build a strong early literacy and social-emotional foundation. They will receive expert guidance from a certified early elementary educator every step of the way!

Our class will meet 2 times per week (Monday + Wednesday or Tuesday + Thursday). No class on Friday unless I notify parents otherwise. Each class will last 30 minutes.

Each week, we will focus on a phonics skill, sing songs, play games, and practice writing with the phonics skill of the week. We will review the entire alphabet each class and do fun activities together.

🎨 What We Will Learn 🎨 :
- Week 1 (9/16-20/24): Short Vowel Sounds (a, e, i, o, u)
- Week 2 (9/23-27/24): Long Vowel Sounds and Silent e, Consonant Blends (bl, cr, st, etc.)
- Week 3 (9/30-10/4/24): Digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh), Review All Phonics Skills

🎨 This schedule will rotate so when we finish Week 3, we will start over with Week 1. 🎨

👋 End of Class 👋 :
- Sharing time: Students can share their worksheets, one thing they loved about the class, or one item that is related to the focused phonics skill of the week! 

📚 Continuous Support 📚

I will provide parents with worksheets to print and have their learners complete during or after class. These are optional and your child can use a whiteboard or blank paper at home if you would prefer. Crayons or colored pencils are helpful to have during class time.

I will mute all students when needed to minimize background noise. Please make sure your learner either knows how to mute/unmute. Please sit with them during class so they are able to share when it's their turn. I want your little learner to feel excited to share and not get frustrated when they cannot unmute themselves. From the teacher side of Zoom, we can only "ask to unmute" but the student will have to actually click the button to unmute themselves.

This newsletter will be a valuable resource for you, containing weekly topics we will cover, any schedule changes, and helpful tips and tricks to support your learners at home.
