1年生フォニックス

This ongoing class will focus on phonics for first-grade students. We will be working on letter sounds, digraphs, long vowels, short vowels. We will end each class by reading a decodable story based on the phonics skill that was taught during the lesson. We will work through a lesson either by PowerPoint or by me on my document camera walking through each step. Some classes might need a handout printed. If you are unable please let me know so I can add it to as an attachment and students can edit it. The story will be projected and we will "whisper" read together. We will start each class with rules and expectations and then begin the lesson. All lessons will have a handwriting review as well.  
Week 1- Short Vowel Review (a,e,i,o,u)
Week 2- a_e, small group reading with questions
 Week 3- i_e, small group reading with questions
Week 4- o_e, with a review of a_e and i_e, reading with questions
 Week 5- u_e, small group reading
Week 6- Fun Class! Wiggle words as a review. We will introduce nouns and identify them. 
Week 7- Sound /oo/ Spelled 'oo'. Reading comprehension with questions.
Week 8- Chaining words with one-syllable words, Wiggle Cards, review of _e words.
$122 for the 8 weeks.
