This session will share tips and tricks for starting your college search off on the right foot. Note: This course is designed to cover the college search process for colleges in the United States and designed for students that will be applying as domestic (US resident) freshman applicants. Topics include: How to start building a college list, tips for campus visits, how to communicate with admission offices, and creating a standardized testing plan. The class will be a mix of lecture and discussion. I will also leave time for a live Q and A session. Note: If students have fewer questions then it may be possible for the session to end a few minutes early. This experience will allow you to ask personalized questions about your college search. My teaching style is conversation-based. I also love to share data and experience. We will have the class and not cancel due to low enrollment. Class will start promptly at the assigned time. If no learner logs in after 10 minutes, then I will record the content for the class and make the recording available.

*Identify and understand what factors can be used on evaluating which colleges to add to their prospective college lists
*Identify and understand the different factors colleges consider when evaluating admission applications*Develop how to create a college list that focuses on balance and options
