This class uses Taylor Swift's songs as learning material. While we focus on age-appropriate content, some lyrics may contain mild references to relationships, emotions, or mature themes. All songs are carefully selected to be suitable for the age group (8-12 or 13-18, depending on the class version).
We primarily use songs rated "Green" or "Yellow" by Common Sense Media, indicating content appropriate for all ages or mild themes respectively. Specific song selections and their ratings will be provided before each class.
Parents should be aware that we'll be discussing American cultural references and idioms, which may sometimes touch on topics like dating or social situations in an age-appropriate manner.
No accounts on external platforms are required. We'll use lyrics from official sources and occasionally play short clips from YouTube or Spotify during class, but students don't need their own accounts.
Parents are encouraged to review the songs we'll be covering if they have any concerns. A list of planned songs can be provided upon request
