I have taken several workshops through UNC's Carolina K12 on Teaching Hard History and have read numerous articles from Teaching Tolerance (now Learning for Justice from the Southern Poverty Law Center) on Teaching Hard History. My school teaches the past while acknowledging biases that each individual comes pre-disposed to and the consequences of them.
