🦄 What if a map redrew itself each day... or a forest could remember every secret ever whispered beneath its trees? In this weekly drop-in creative and critical thinking club, learners will explore fantasy worlds inspired by global myths, magical dilemmas, and imaginative “What if?” scenarios. Through culturally rooted fantasy tropes, ethical debates, and expressive storytelling, learners will craft their own characters, scenes, and artifacts—all while reflecting on how different cultures shape our ideas of magic, power, and transformation. This enrichment club is perfect for fans of Percy Jackson, Wings of Fire, Amari and the Night Brothers, or students who love exploring themes like destiny, magic, trickery, nature, transformation, and myth through writing, discussion, and art. ✨ Upcoming topics for the weeks beginning (subject to change per demand): • April 14: The Map That Changes Daily (Living Landscapes & Shifting Fate); inspired by Polynesian wayfinding, Māori homeland myths, and magical cartography in fantasy • April 21: The Trickster’s Pact (Deception & Moral Ambiguity); inspired by Korean dokkaebi, West African Anansi, and Japanese kitsune legends • April 28: The Forest That Remembers (Nature as Witness); inspired by Amazonian plant spirits, Ainu sacred trees, and Slavic Leshy tales • May 5: The Cursed Crown (Power, Pride & Prophecy); inspired by Ashanti golden stools, Arthurian relics, and Southeast Asian blade lore • May 12: The Phoenix Doesn’t Rise (Subverting Rebirth); inspired by Persian Simurgh, Chinese Fenghuang, and Slavic firebirds • May 19: The River Knows Your Name (Sacred Places & Sacred Promises); inspired by Yoruba river goddesses, Ganges traditions, and Celtic water spirits • May 26: The Door Between Worlds (Portals, Realms & Boundaries); inspired by Filipino engkanto realms, Norse Nine Worlds, and African spirit crossings • June 2: The Forgotten Prophecy (Fate vs. Free Will); inspired by Aztec sacred calendars, Chinese zodiac destinies, and Baltic fate-weaving myths 🧭 How is your class structured? Each 50-minute session is fully self-contained—no previous attendance or homework required—and features a fresh theme every week. In every class, learners will: • warm up with a bold “What if?” creative prompt; • explore a magical theme through myth, culture, or literary lens; • discuss fantasy dilemmas or design worldbuilding elements; and • create expressive work through writing, drawing, or design. 🎨 How will I teach? Learners will interact with me and each other throughout class—through quick debates, real-time writing and design feedback, and optional sharing time. Every voice is welcomed and encouraged, and I guide each activity to help students grow in skill, confidence, and creative expression. We’ll blend imagination with cultural curiosity to help students think deeply, write boldly, and tell stories that feel both personal and magical. 💬 Have Questions? Feel free to message me anytime—I’m happy to help!
