In this  lesson, learners will explore the fascinating ancient world of extinct animals. We will delve into the history of some of the most iconic extinct creatures, such as mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and the dodo bird. We will explore places where fossils have been found such as under a department store in Ilford, UK to the mysterious Brea tar pits of Los Angeles! 

During the lesson, students will learn about the life and times of these animals, including their habitats, diets, and physical characteristics. We will discuss the factors that led to their extinction and the efforts being made to preserve their legacies through fossils and scientific research.
